ABOUT THE ARTIST

Asabe Mamza is a Nigerian-born graphic designer and multi-disciplinary artist currently based in Canada. She has her first degree in Industrial Design and currently pursuing an Interdisciplinary Masters in Art, Media and Design at OCAD University Toronto, ON.

Her artistic style is heavily influenced by her cultural and traditional background, which she interprets using ceramics, acrylic and digital techniques like digital painting 3D modeling, scanning, AR/VR technologies and 3D printing to create works in the virtual space.

Her passion lies in preserving culturally inspired art and design and aims to bring more attention to these themes in the virtual space. Her work seeks to create new perspectives and interpretations of cultural heritage and promote its richness and diversity.
